Item 8.01 Other Events
On February 1, 2006, the Board of Directors of QLogic Corporation, at a regularly scheduled meeting, approved a two-for-one stock split to be effected in the form of a stock dividend. Stockholders of record at the close of business on February 16, 2006 will be issued one additional share of the Registrant’s common stock for each share held on such date. The additional shares will be distributed on or about March 2, 2006. A copy of the press release issued by the Registrant announcing the stock split is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
