On March 28, 2012, PPL Corporation (“PPL”) issued a press release announcing that William H. Spence, President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of PPL, was elected Chairman of PPL’s Board of Directors, effective April 1, 2012. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1.
