Item 8.01 Other Events.
Geoffrey L. Berger, Senior Vice President of Ferrellgas and Executive Vice President of Blue Rhino, was originally hired as a consultant to probe into and improve our Products division. Shortly thereafter he undertook the additional assignment of managing the sales and support office of Blue Rhino, and on January 18, 2017 was appointed to the Executive Committee of our General Partner. The goal was to integrate these Blue Rhino functions into Ferrellgas' existing structure. With Mr. Berger's leadership, we accomplished that objective in June 2017.
Mr. Berger will continue overseeing our Products division, but in that role he will no longer serve as a member of the Executive Committee of our General Partner. This change is effective August 1, 2017.
