Item 8.01 Other Events.
On June 21, 2021, BioCardia, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the European patent office has issued a Decision to Grant European Patent No. 3593810 to the Company with publication on June 23, 2021. The patent broadly describes autologous cell therapy patient selection and describes using such an assay approach for patient selection as well as for setting dosage levels for autologous cell-based therapies. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
