ITEM 5. OTHER EVENTS
Speizman Industries, Inc. (the “Company”) received notification from NASDAQ Listing Qualifications Staff that its common stock would be delisted from The NASDAQ SmallCap Market. The Company has appealed the delisting. On May 20, 2003, Speizman issued a press release to announce the delisting. The press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this report on Form 8-K.
