| On Thursday, December 16, 2004, the Board of Directors of Knight Transportation, Inc., an Arizona corporation (the “Company”), took definitive action to approve the transfer of the listing of the Company’s common stock from the Nasdaq National Market to the New York Stock Exchange. |

| On Thursday, December 16, 2004, the Company issued a press release (the “Press Release”) announcing thatits common stock has been accepted for listing on the New York Stock Exchange (the “NYSE”). The Company anticipates that its shares will begin trading on the NYSE on December 30, 2004, under the symbol “KNX”. Until that time, the Company’s shares will continue trading on the Nasdaq National Market under the symbol “KNGT”. A copy of the Press Release is attached to this report as Exhibit 99.1.
