INDOSAT PLANS TO ISSUE RUPIAH BOND IN THE 2^ND HALF 2007

Jakarta, 7 August 2007, Today PT Indosat Tbk. (“Indosat” or “Company”) announced the plan to issue Rupiah bonds as part of external financing to support company’s expansion plan in the second half 2007.  

“To support our 2007 capex plan of at least USD 1 Billion, Indosat will seek additional financing from debt markets. As we had mentioned earlier, we plan to roll out around 3,500 to 4,000 new BTS this year”, said Johnny Swandi Sjam, President Director PT Indosat.

The total issuance will be at least Rp1,000,000,000,000 (one trillion rupiah). Details of the issuance will be announced later.

Acting as Lead Underwriter for the Bonds issuance are PT Andalan Artha Advisindo Sekuritas (“AAA Sekuritas”) and PT Danareksa Sekuritas (“Danareksa”).
