A.F.P. PROVIDA S.A. (NYSE: PVD) REPORTS INFORMATION OF INTEREST

Mr. Carlo Ljubetic Rich, Chief Executive Officer (S) of AFP Provida, has reported information of interest to the Superintendent of Pension (SP), to the Superintendent of Securities and Insurance (SVS) and to all the Chilean Stock Exchanges. This communication informed the following:

“Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria S.A. (a Spanish credit institution and the ultimate parent of AFP Provida SA), hereinafter "BBVA", has informed the stock markets of advanced negotiations with the American company MetLife Inc. regarding the possible sale of its stake in AFP Provida SA. Additionally, in the event that these negotiations result in the signing of an agreement, BBVA will communicate the corresponding material event”.
