1. This transaction was executed in multiple trades at prices ranging from $172.17 to $172.40. The price reported above reflects the weighted-average sale price. The reporting person hereby undertakes to provide upon request to the SEC staff, the issuer or a security holder of the issuer full information regarding the number of shares sold at each separate price within the range provided.

2. Between February 8, 2022 and May 24, 2022, the reporting person acquired 234 shares of Chevron common stock under the Chevron Employee Savings Investment Plan, a 401(k) plan.

3. The reporting person disclaims beneficial ownership of the shares held by his spouse's trust, and this report should not be deemed an admission that the reporting person is the beneficial owner of the shares held by his spouse's trust for purposes of Section 16 or for any other purpose.
