On September 19, 2007, Harold R. Werner informed the board of directors of GenVec, Inc. (the “Company”) that he would resign from the board of directors effective September 30, 2007.
On September 21, 2007, the Company issued a press release announcing Mr. Werner’s decision to resign, a copy of which is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
