Item 8.01. Other Events.
On February 19, 2021, DTE Energy Company (“DTE Energy”) issued a press release to report the progress it has made on its plan to spin off its non-utility natural gas pipeline, storage and gathering business into a new stand-alone independent, publicly traded company, to be named DT Midstream and headquartered in Detroit, Michigan. DTE Energy also discussed DT Midstream’s zero net carbon goal and announced the anticipated executive team who will lead DT Midstream upon closing of the separation transaction.
