Shire plc (the “Company”)
The Company announces that on 1 November 2007 the following Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibility (“PDMR”) were granted options over American Depository Shares (“ADS”) in the Company pursuant to the 2007 Shire Employee Stock Purchase Plan (the “Plan”). The options are exercisable over the number of ADS’ that may be purchased at the end of a 12 month saving period with the fortnightly savings made plus interest earned on them. The option price is the lower of 85% of the fair market value of the Company’s ADS’ on 1 November 2007 (that is $62.58) and 85% of the fair market value of the Company’s ADS’ on 31 October 2008. The options are normally exercisable on 31 October 2008.
