Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
In furtherance of our previously announced transition plan, State Street Corporation appointed Eric Aboaf, age 52, to serve as its Chief Financial Officer effective February 28, 2017. Mr. Aboaf succeeds Michael W. Bell, who is stepping down from that role. Mr. Aboaf’s business experience and information about his employment at State Street was previously reported by State Street under Item 5.02 of its Current Report on Form 8-K dated September 28, 2016 (which Item 5.02 is incorporated herein by reference).
