Effective as of January 15, 2022, The First Bancshares, Inc.’s subsidiary, The First, A National Banking Association, converted from a national banking association to a Mississippi state-chartered bank and changed its name to The First Bank. The First Bank is a member bank of the Federal Reserve System through the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. The charter conversion and name change are expected to have only a minimal impact on the bank’s clients, and deposits will continue to be insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation up to applicable limits.
