Explanation of Responses:

1. Fiduciary/Claymore Energy Infrastructure Fund ("FMO") was merged with and into KYN. FMO was previously held by certain funds and accounts under the management of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P. FMO shareholders received newly issued common shares of KYN common stock in exchange for their FMO shares, the aggregate net asset value ("NAV") of which equal the aggregate NAV of FMO common shares, as determined at the close of business on March 4, 2022. The prevailing exchange rate was 1.36622086 per share of FMO.

2. 11,235 shares are owned by KA Associates, Inc. ("KAA"), a FINRA registered broker-dealer and a controlled affiliate of Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P.
