Item 8.01 – Other Events
On February 23, 2010 Thomas & Betts Corporation (the “Company”) signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire PMA AG, a leading European manufacturer of cable protection systems. In addition to customary closing conditions, the transaction is subject to regulatory approval. The transaction is expected to close as soon as possible after the regulatory review and approval.
The Company issued a press release on February 23, 2010, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit 99.1, announcing the transaction.
