Item 8.01 Other Events.
SEC Inquiry
As previously reported, on June 19, 2009, Matrixx Initiatives, Inc. (the “Company”), received an informal inquiry from the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) requesting certain documents and information relating to the June 16, 2009 warning letter issued to the Company by the United States Food and Drug Administration. See the Company’s Report on Form 8-K filed with the SEC on June 22, 2009. The Company provided requested documents to the SEC and met with SEC representatives to provide additional information. By letter dated November 24, 2009, the SEC advised the Company that it had completed its investigation and does not intend to recommend any enforcement action to the Commission.
