Item 8.01 Other Events.
As previously reported, following months of informal discussions with the Food and Drug Administration (the “FDA”), on November 16, 2009, Matrixx Initiatives, Inc. (the “Company”) filed a response to the FDA’s June 16, 2009 warning letter regarding the Company’s nasal cold remedy products. In that response, the Company requested, among other things, that the FDA withdraw the warning letter. See the Company’s Report on Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on November 19, 2009. On March 5, 2010, the FDA reaffirmed its original position and denied the Company’s request. The Company is currently evaluating its options.
