On January 30, 2008, Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. issued a press release announcing that it will provide a financial update as part of its presentation at the Wachovia Securities 2008 Small and Mid Cap Healthcare Conference in Boston, MA on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 9:00 a.m. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1. A copy of the PowerPoint presentation containing the financial update that is being presented at the conference is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.2.
