Michael D. Strohm, Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer of Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. (the “Company”), notified the Company that he intends to retire from such positions with the Company and its subsidiaries effective May 15, 2015 following 42 years of service with the Company. At this time, the Company intends to transition Mr. Strohm’s responsibilities to existing officers of the Company.
