CHANGE OF DATE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND
BOOK CLOSURE PERIOD
Reference is made to the announcement of China Unicom (Hong Kong) Limited (the “Company”) dated 23 March 2020, in relation to the 2019 annual results of the Company and closure of register of members (the “Results Announcement”). Unless otherwise defined, capitalised terms used herein shall have the same meanings as those defined in the Results Announcement.
CHANGE OF THE DATE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
As disclosed in the Results Announcement, the Annual General Meeting (the “AGM”) of the Company was originally scheduled to be held on 26 May 2020. The board of directors of the Company (the “Board”) announces that the AGM is now rescheduled to be held on 25 May 2020.
CHANGE OF PERIOD OF CLOSURE OF REGISTER OF MEMBERS FOR ASCERTAINING RIGHTS TO ATTEND AND VOTE AT THE AGM
Due to the change of the date of the AGM, the period of closure of the register of members of the Company for the purpose of ascertaining the shareholders’ rights to attend and vote at the AGM is changed from “19 May 2020 to 26 May 2020 (both days inclusive)” to “18 May 2020 to 25 May 2020 (both days inclusive)”, and during such period, no transfer of shares will be registered. The record date will be changed from 19 May 2020 to 18 May 2020. To be eligible to attend and vote at the AGM, all transfers, accompanied by the relevant certificates, must be lodged with the Company’s Share Registrar, Hong Kong Registrars Limited, at Shops 1712–1716, 17th Floor, Hopewell Centre, 183 Queen’s Road East, Wan Chai, Hong Kong, by no later than 4:30 p.m. of 15 May 2020.

Except for the changes of date of AGM and the book closure period for the purpose of ascertaining the shareholders’ rights to attend and vote at the AGM as set out above, all other information as set out in the Results Announcement remain unchanged.
