Section 2 - Financial Information
Item 2.01 Completion of Acquisition or Disposition of Assets
On November 18, 2014, PPL Montana, LLC, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of PPL Energy Supply, LLC, a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of PPL Corporation, issued a press release announcing the completion of its agreement with NorthWestern Corporation ("NorthWestern") to sell to NorthWestern 11 hydroelectric generating facilities and related assets located in the state of Montana. The net proceeds received in connection with the sale were approximately $890 million in cash.
A copy of the press release announcing completion of the transaction is filed as exhibit 99.1 hereto and hereby incorporated by reference.
