Remarks:

This form is being filed to report Principal Life Insurance Company's (PLIC) ownership percentage of Kayne Anderson Energy Infrastructure Fund, Inc (KYN) decreased from 15.14% as of last Form 4 filing on 11/15/2023 down to 12.7% as of 9/18/2024 due to issuance of 1,200,000 additional MRP Shares. PLIC did not participate in this issuance of Series X MRP Shares. This Form is filed by Principal Life Insurance Company (PLIC), with respect to the shares held directly by it, and by Principal Global Investors (PGI), with respect to the shares held indirectly by it. Each of PLIC and PGI expressly disclaims any beneficial ownership of the shares, except to the extent of its pecuniary interest therein, pursuant to Section 16.
