Item 8.01 Other Events.
On July 11, 2007, Echo Healthcare Acquisition Corp. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that XLNT Veterinary Care, Inc. (“XLNT”), a provider of veterinary primary care services to companion animals through a network of fully-owned veterinary hospitals, has hired George A. Villasana as XLNT’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, effective June 12, 2007. The Company previously announced on September 11, 2006 that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the privately-held XLNT. A copy of this press release is furnished as an exhibit to this Form 8-K.
