Item 8.01 Other Events.
Echo Healthcare Acquisition Corp. (the “Company”) has issued a press release, a copy of which is furnished as an exhibit to this Form 8-K, announcing that XLNT Veterinary Care, Inc. (“XLNT”), a provider of veterinary primary care services to companion animals through a network of fully-owned veterinary hospitals, will present at the Sixth Annual MicroCapital Investor Conference on May 17, 2007. The Company previously announced on September 11, 2006 that it entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the privately-held XLNT in a transaction expected to close later in 2007.
