Item 8.01. Other Events.
Danvers Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) (NASDAQ: DNBK), the holding company for Danversbank, today announced that its Board of Directors approved a quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $.02 per share. The dividend will be paid on or after August 27, 2010 to stockholders of record as of August 13, 2010.
Attached as Exhibit 99.1 is a copy of a press release regarding the announcement of the Company’s declaration of a cash dividend of common stock.
