On October 28, 2010, Danvers Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) (NASDAQ: DNBK), the holding company for Danversbank, issued a press release announcing its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2010. The text of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
Item 8.01. Other Events.
The Company announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a regular quarterly cash dividend on its common stock of $.04 per share, reflecting a 100% increase in the previous quarter’s cash dividend amount of $.02 per share. The dividend will be payable on December 3, 2010 to stockholders of record at the close of business on November 12, 2010. Attached as Exhibit 99.2 is a copy of the press release regarding the announcement of the Company's declaration of a cash dividend on its common stock.
