EXPLANATORY NOTE
SodaStream International Ltd. (the “Company”) hereby announces that, in accordance with its practice to disclose open market purchases of its ordinary shares by its Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer, on June 12, 2017, Daniel Birnbaum, the Chief Executive Officer and a director of the Company, purchased an aggregate of 20,000 ordinary shares of the Company in open market transactions at a weighted average price per share of $50.41. Mr. Birnbaum owns a total of 113,420 ordinary shares of the Company following these purchases. This amount does not include options to purchase ordinary shares of the Company.
