Item 6.02 Change of Servicer or Trustee.
The Summit Birmingham Mortgage Loan and the JW Marriott Desert Springs Mortgage Loan, which constituted approximately 6.1% and 5.4%, respectively, of the asset pool of the issuing entity as of its cut-off date, are each an asset of the issuing entity and are each part of a loan combination that is being serviced and administered under the pooling and servicing agreement, dated as of February 1, 2017, relating to the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Commercial Mortgage Trust 2017-BNK3 filed as Exhibit 99.4 to the registrant’s Current Report on Form 8-K filed on April 19, 2017 (the “BACM 2017-BNK3 PSA”). Pursuant to Section 7.01(d) of the BACM 2017-BNK3 PSA, Midland Loan Services, a Division of PNC Bank, National Association, a national banking association, was removed as special servicer of The Summit Birmingham Mortgage Loan and the JW Marriott Desert Springs Mortgage Loan and Rialto Capital Advisors, LLC (“Rialto”), a Delaware limited liability company, was appointed as the successor special servicer of The Summit Birmingham Mortgage Loan and the JW Marriott Desert Springs Mortgage Loan under the BACM 2017-BNK3 PSA.
This Current Report on Form 8-K is being filed to record that, effective as of November 15, 2021, The Summit Birmingham Mortgage Loan and the JW Marriott Desert Springs Mortgage Loan will be specially serviced, if necessary, pursuant to the BACM 2017-BNK3 PSA, by Rialto. Rialto maintains its principal servicing office at 200 S. Biscayne Blvd., Suite 3550, Miami, Florida 33131 and its telephone number is (305) 229-6465.
