Appointment of Michael I. German to its Board of Directors
Great Falls, Mont., April 11, 2008/ PRNewswire — First Call/ — ENERGY WEST, INCORPORATED (NASDAQ: EWST — News), a natural gas and energy marketing company announced the appointment of Michael I. German to its board of directors to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of David A. Cerotzke. Mr. Cerotzke, a director since December 2003, indicated that business commitments prevent him from continuing to act as a director of the company.

Mr. German has extensive natural gas company experience. He is the chief executive officer, president and a director of Corning Natural Gas Corporation, a public natural gas utility company in Corning, New York. Prior to joining Corning in November 2006, he was senior vice president, utility operations for Southern Union Company where he was responsible for gas utility operations in Missouri, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. From 1994 to 2005, Mr. German held several senior positions at Energy East Corporation, a publicly-held energy services and delivery company, including president of several utilities.
