Item 8.01 Other Events

     On Monday, February 13, 2006, there was an explosion in the Block 2 area currently under construction at Nevada Power Company’s Chuck Lenzie Generating Station. The explosion appears to have resulted from the build-up of gas during testing in one of the Heat Recovery Steam Generators (“HRSG”). There were no injuries and, at this point, the damage appears limited to the HRSG and surrounding area. Fluor, the engineering, procurement, and construction contractor, has begun detailed inspections and a full assessment of the extent of the damage, including any effect on the planned startup, is expected by the end of next week.

     There was no damage to the 580-megawatt Block 1 of the Lenzie facility that was completed and commissioned into operation last month.
