Section 8—Other Events
Item 8.01 Other Events
As previously announced, on Monday, February 13, 2006, there was an explosion in the Block 2 area currently under construction at Nevada Power Company’s Chuck Lenzie Generating Station that caused damage to the transition ductwork between one of the Block’s combustion turbine and the Heat Recovery Steam Generator (“HRSG”) and other internal components of the HRSG. Nevada Power, Flour (the engineering, procurement and construction contractor), and affected equipment subcontractors have assessed the damage, have effected repairs and are in the process of restarting the damaged unit. It is presently expected that Block 2 will achieve commercial operation in late April 2006, well ahead of the summer peak demand season.
