Changes on an adjusted basis include: • Service charges on deposits increased $0.6 million to $3.4 million, reflecting growth in commercial deposit relationships and service charge fee increases. • Despite the impact of broad based declining equity market valuations, the wealth management group continues to win relationships, resulting in $2.8 million in fee income for the quarter, an increase of $0.1 million from the prior quarter. • Mortgage banking fees were $0.9 million, compared to $1.7 million in the prior quarter, reflecting the continued impact of rising rates and limited housing inventory on saleable loan production. • Other income increased by $1.3 million in the second quarter of 2022 to $4.5 million, partially driven by an increase in gains on sale of SBA loans, which increased $0.3 million quarter over quarter as a result of higher production. The increase in other income is also a result of higher loan-swap related income during the quarter.
