Item 7.01Regulation FD Disclosure
On May 18, 2006, R. G. Barry Corporation (the “Company”) issued a news release regarding various matters, including the election of directors at the Company’s 2006 Annual Meeting of Shareholders (the “Annual Meeting”), a change in the Company’s fiscal year and the naming of Greg A. Tunney, the Company’s President and Chief Operating Officer, as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company. A copy of the news release is attached as Exhibit 99 hereto.
In addition, in response to a shareholder question at the Annual Meeting, Gordon Zacks, the Chairman of the Company, stated that it is his current plan to continue his long-term strategy for asset diversification and liquidity through periodic sales of shares of the Company.
