Item 7.01.
On December 30, 2016, Hancock Holding Company (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that its bank subsidiary, Whitney Bank, had entered into an agreement to purchase certain assets and assume certain liabilities from First NBC Bank. A copy of the press release announcing the agreement is furnished hereto as Exhibit 99.1. The Company also made available an investor presentation relating to the transaction that is furnished hereto as Exhibit 99.2.
