Item 3.01: Notice of Delisting or Failure to Satisfy a Continued Listing Rule or Standard; Transfer of Listing.
On November 18, 2005, PetroQuest Energy, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it plans to list its common stock on the New York Stock Exchange (the “NYSE”). The Company anticipates its shares will begin trading on the NYSE on November 30, 2005, under the new symbol “PQ.” Until that time, the Company’s shares will continue to trade on The Nasdaq National Market under the symbol “PQUE.” The press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K.
