Dendreon Corporation and Corvas International Announce Form S-4 Registration Statement Declared Effective by the Securities and Exchange Commission
Seattle, WA (June 25, 2003) – Dendreon Corporation (NASDAQ: DNDN) and Corvas International (NASDAQ: CVAS) announced that the Registration Statement on Form S-4 relating to their previously announced proposed merger was declared effective today by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
Dendreon and Corvas International will now proceed with a mailing to their respective stockholders of the definitive joint proxy statement-prospectus pertaining to the merger. Dendreon will hold its annual meeting of stockholders at 9 a.m., July 29, 2003, at Dendreon headquarters in Seattle, Washington. A special meeting of stockholders of Corvas will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 28, 2003, at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, California to vote on the proposed merger.
