On December 11, 2007, Career Education Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that American InterContinental University ("AIU") has been removed from probation by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools ("SACS"). A copy of the Company’s press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1, and the information contained therein is incorporated herein by reference.
