On February 12, 2008, Career Education Corporation (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing, among other things, the departure of Stephen C. Fireng, as the Company's Group President, Art & Design and University Divisions. The effective date of Mr. Fireng's separation from employment was February 11, 2008. The press release also described the Company's plans to implement a company-wide restructuring as part of its long-term growth strategy. A copy of the Company's press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1, and the information contained therein is incorporated herein by reference.
