RG&E 2003 Electric and Gas Rate Proceeding: On March 9, 2004, RG&E issued a news release concerning joint proposals filed with the New York State Public Service Commission (NYPSC) by RG&E, the NYPSC Staff, the New York State Consumer Protection Board, Multiple Intervenors and other parties. The joint proposals address electric and natural gas rates for RG&E through 2008. The parties are requesting NYPSC approval of the joint proposals by the end of May 2004. Assuming the joint proposals are approved, RG&E expects to complete the sale of its Ginna nuclear generating station by the end of June 2004.
The news release is attached as Exhibit 99-1 to this document. The joint proposals are available on RG&E's Web site at www.rge.com, under Rates and Tariffs.
