Item 8.01 Other Events.
The Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines ("Bank") will host a member conference call on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 1:00 PM Central Time to discuss its 1st quarter 2009 financial results. Following the call, an audio webcast of the conference call will be made available on the Bank's website at www.fhlbdm.com. The webcast will be archived on the Bank's website for 30 days.
A Bank announcement regarding the upcoming conference call was sent to Bank members on May 14, 2009 and is attached as exhibit 99.1 hereto.
