On March 29, 2011, Alan Park, Openwave’s Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, provided the Company with notice of his resignation as an officer of the Openwave Systems, such resignation to be effective as of April 1, 2011.
On April 4, Openwave Systems announced the appointment of John Charters, as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales, replacing Alan Park. Mr. Charters has extensive sales leadership experience in the telecommunications industry, and most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at iPass, where he was responsible for Global Sales, Product Management, Product Development, Engineering and Customer Care. He also held a number of positions at Qwest, including Chief Executive Officer of Qwest Cyber Solutions (a joint venture with Qwest Communications and KPMG Consulting).
